Start the new year with a plan to get fit for the Run for the Kids, which is only 98 days away
IF YOUR New Year's resolution is to get fit, we have the perfect event for you.
Starting today and continuing for the next 13 weeks, Health and Fitness and running legend Steve Moneghetti will prepare you for Melbourne's biggest fun run. The Herald Sun/Citylink Run for the Kids fun run is just over three months away. On Sunday, April 9, the run will launch the 75th anniversary of the Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. The Herald and Weekly Times has pledged $20 of every $25 entry fee for the 14.7km race and $15 of $20 for the 4.5km event will go to the appeal, and this component is tax deductible to the participant. The course will grant runners access to routes normally closed to foot traffic, including through the Domain Tunnel and over the Bolte Bridge. And if 14.7km sounds too far, a 4.5km run/walk is also on offer. The 14.7km course starts outside Telstra Dome on Harbour Esplanade at Docklands and finishes at the hospital. All Victorian entrants will go into the draw to win a Mazda3 SP23 hatch.Enter at www.runforthekids.com.au , or ph: 9292 1928 to have entries mailed out.
I'm entering the 4.5km - who is with me??
