Looking for something a bit different to add to your fitness workouts? Want to add a bit of spice? Well the Fit to Strip workout will certainly do that. Volume 1 of the series takes you through the striptease basics in a low impact workout.
The format of the dvd is a run through of each routine (there are three routines plus a warm up) followed by the routine itself. In the warmup, Carmen and friends take you through each step then you are on your own to follow to the workout music. This was a bit complicated for me. I mean, I get confused in aerobics class with the instructor yelling directions as I do the moves so having to remember a routine I learnt 5 whole minutes ago really tests my brain.
I really didn't find the workout that taxing. I would have burnt more calories doing some hardcore housework (but that could have been because I had to keep stopping to work out where I was in the routine) although it probably wouldn't have been as much fun.
You can you can make the moves as raunchy as you like because, as they say on the dvd, the secret to a good striptease is your personality. It's probably best to do the workout alone because I think if I did it with a friend, I'd be on the floor laughing. Of course, once you master the routine, you could use it to impress your Significant Other.
As for Ms Electra, I didn't find her very motivating as an instructor. She doesn't exactly sparkle during the dvd and her "...5, 6, 7, 8" counting during the walkthroughs tended to become grating.
There are some special features, like selecting your own music but I couldn't work out how to do that.
This was the first dvd in the series. Others include higher impact workouts and even lap dancing. I bought the dvd from JB Hifi for about $15.

I wonder how much money I can make as a lap dancer. Or if it will earn me enough bonus points for some really decent ice cream?
